When I was a little girl, I had always liked languages, and been always curious about everything. Translating seemed to be the right choice for me. I pursued my English translation studies at university, and got my postgraduate certificate from City University, London. After quitting my job in a multinational company, I decided to pursue my translating career full time.
My name is Sílvia Ruiz and I am a freelance translator from German and English to Spanish and Catalan since 2005. I also work as a copywriter for website and marketing texts (I have worked for UPF, Ecler, Surya Retreats, T-Systems, IESE, SonyBMG, etc). I use SDL Trados Studio 2019 and several other CAT-Tools under the client's request.
I am a professional certified EN <> ES translator with over 15 years of experience. I have a degree in translation from the Universidad de Morón and I am a member of the Sworn Translators' Association of the City of Buenos Aires. My fields of experience are legal, medical and technical translations

With a Master's degree in Biology and a multi-lingual education and work experience, I look forward to providing my expertise as a translator to fellow researchers who need to communicate parts of their work in Spanish. I also provide Spanish into English translation services. Let me know if you need any other science related translations...perhaps I could be of assistance.
