LL.B (Law) and Classics Graduate. Experienced in Academic, Legal and Historical English-Hebrew and Hebrew-English translation.
I am a state-certified translator and have been translating for over 40 years. I am an American and have also lived and been educated in England (so I speak "both" versions of English). I have been living in Germany for about 40 years, so am fully fluent in the German language and know the culture and business vernacular extremely well. I studied history and political science and served in the military as an officer for many years and have worked in the industrial sector - so these are the areas with which I am very familiar.
I have been a professional Hebrew-English translator for over 30 years – both as an in-house translator and as a freelancer. I was born in the United States to an American mother and a British father, providing me with fluency in both US and British spelling and grammar. I made Aliyah in 1982 at the age of 19, straight to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where I studied social work and nursing. I subsequently worked for 22 years as an in-house translator in the Israeli commercial and education sectors, before becoming a full-time freelance translator in 2006.
Professional freelance translator and interpreter specializing in French-to-English translation of websites, academic articles, curricula vitae, and subtitles. I also have experience translating in the fields of civil law and marketing. In addition to translating, I am also an interpreter (French-to-English) for Médecins du Monde in Paris.
I'm an English editor with experience in editing research papers sent to Chemistry Journals. I edit academic papers in English and translate academic papers and other documents from Hebrew to English and English to Hebrew.
