I am a freelance translator with many years of experience. I translate Hebrew to English (mother tongue) and my expertise is in financial translation (including financial statements). I translate for the major banks in Israel (including the Bank of Israel) and for Israel’s top accounting firms. I will provide my resume at your request.
As an economics graduate with two master's degrees (law and communication), I assist researchers in writing articles, translating them professionally, and making sure they adhere to academic writing standards before they are submitted for publication. Translate only academic materials (articles or chapters) in volumes exceeding 5,000 words.
I have been a professional Hebrew-English translator for over 30 years – both as an in-house translator and as a freelancer. I was born in the United States to an American mother and a British father, providing me with fluency in both US and British spelling and grammar. I made Aliyah in 1982 at the age of 19, straight to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where I studied social work and nursing. I subsequently worked for 22 years as an in-house translator in the Israeli commercial and education sectors, before becoming a full-time freelance translator in 2006.
I'm an English editor with experience in editing research papers sent to Chemistry Journals. I edit academic papers in English and translate academic papers and other documents from Hebrew to English and English to Hebrew.
I have over 20 years' experience as a translator. I have translated academic works on various subjects, including books on the Holocaust and Jewish history. Originally from the US, I have lived in Israel since 1987. I love language and am known for the accuracy and readability of my translations.
