I am a native Spanish speaker from Bilbao (Spain). I hold a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting from the University of the Basque Country, as well as an M.A. in Translation Sciences from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, with a focus on literary translation. I have lived in Germany for 4 years and still stay in close contact with the language through my work and friends. As for English, it is part of my daily life and is slowly becoming second nature to me.
I currently live in the Netherlands and work as a freelance translator with a wide range of subjects, from technical to academic and commercial texts. Prior to that, I gathered professional experience as an in-house translator for the automotive branch. For many years I have also been offering my services as a volunteer translator and proofreader for the NGO Humanium.
I am passionate about languages and see translation both as an art and as a way to share and spread knowledge.
