I am Brazilian, so Portuguese (BR) is my mother tongue. I have a Bachelor degree in Law and I have sat the ILEC, YLE, FCE, CAE and CPE Cambridge examinations. I got involved in translation studies at the University (B.A. program in Letters - Portuguese/English) and I'm currently enrolled in a distance learning 15-month course on Translation at Brasillis Idiomas. After dedicating 20 years to a fruitful advertising/marketing career, I realized that what I really loved about it was dealing with different languages and cultures.

I have been working as a freelance translator as a side job for 26 years, having started right after I got my English proficiency degree from the University of Michigan in 1994.
