I am a freelance translator and a native speaker of Polish, proficient in English and advanced in German, Spanish and Swedish. I have studied all my source languages at university level, having obtained my most recent qualification in 2019 at UCL. My main areas of expertise include marketing, business and e-commerce. I also have considerable experience dealing with technical and scientific texts, as well as a strong interest in localisation and transcreation. With a background in applied linguistics and a few years of hands-on experience in the industry, I am well-prepared to localise both creative and highly specialised texts, as well as produce original texts in line with the needs of the Polish market.
Hi everyone.
I would like to let you know that I’m totally bi-lingual, meaning that both Polish and British English are my native languages. I also speak, although not to a native level, several other languages and I used to interpret for Coventry City Council from Polish, Czech and Slovak. I am a great writer and I pay attention to details, which allowed me to serve as a proof-reader of scientific journals articles and PhD and Master’s thesis in various disciplines.
Sworn translator and interpreter with simultaneous legal experience in banking and IT sector.
Holding a Master's Degree both in law and English I used to teach legal English (TOLES & ILEC) while drafting and negotiating bilingual software license and service agreements. Then, after making sworn translator, transitioned to investment banking as an ISDA negotiator, to finally get full-time into translation business.
I have a masters degree in social care (pedagogy, specialising in social maladjustment). I have a personal interest in social sciences and medicine. As a Polish native speaker living in Ireland for the last 15 years I have used my knowledge and interests while working in social care field and as a community interpreter in the hospitals, health centres and police stations. I have assisted patients and doctors. I have also translated the medical articles for medicine students.
Languages are my great passion and I am really happy that they are part of my professional life as well.
