My name is Giorgia Negrini. I am from Italy but I live in Germany. I'm currently doing my master in Interkulturelle Germanistik/Deutsch als Fremdsprache. I am a translator for English and German.
I graduated in 1994 as a teacher in Italy. Initially, and for the first 4 years I worked as a special education teacher for disabled children of various age, from elementary grades to high school grades. Since 2000, I began my decade experience in teaching Italian to foreign children and their parents. I have a history of creating programs for interactive learning of the TPR.
I am an experienced English / Italian translator. I obtained my PhD in Translation Studies in 2017 at Monash University, and I have been working as a translator and language teacher for over a decade.
Originally trained as a literary translator, I have been translating
professionally in the fields of corporate communication and
marketing for over 10 years.
I greatly enjoy translating websites and help my clients find the
right SEO words for their Italian customers.
I write, localize and adapt content to enable global brands and
companies to reach, grow and engage with the Italian audience.

I started my career mainly with literary works – Frances Hodgson Burnett, Charles Baudelaire, Irène Némirovsky - and I extended my areas of expertise towards Marketing, Tourism, Travel, Food and Cooking, Education, Journalism, Software & Information Technology, Business & Finance.
My qualifications include a first-class honours degree with distinction as well as a distinction-level MA in Modern European Languages and Literature.
