I am an Oxford graduate in biology with a master’s degree in bioarchaeology, currently completing a PhD in public health focusing on medical sociological and anthropological approaches to arboviral epidemics in Latin America. Born and raised in Oxford, UK, I fell in love with languages from an early age and went on to specialise in Spanish and Portuguese for my BA and MA degrees in the UK, writing my dissertation in Portuguese. After graduation I worked in the BBC Brazilian section for several years and acted as a translator and interpreter on several documentaries filmed in Latin America. I have spent extended periods in Brazil and Spanish speaking America and currently reside in Israel.
