I am a creative and reliable French to English translator with four years of professional experience, mainly in the areas of marketing and tourism. Having lived, worked, and studied in France, I have an in-depth understanding of French language and culture. I am highly-motivated, willing to grow and always looking to learn new things. I apply this philosophy to my language skills, specialisations and the research that goes into all my work. I have sixteen years’ experience working with companies who specialise in marketing or tourism and are looking to do business with the UK. I translate corporate communications from French and Spanish into English and use my copywriting skills to convey their company’s message in stylistically and culturally appropriate language so that they can reach a global audience.
My recent translation projects include five press releases for a Spanish marketing agency; four brochures including one for a cosmetic brand; web copy for four hotels and newsletters for a boutique French hotel. Professional French to English translator. Native US English speaker with a Master's in French. My mother tongue is English and I have lived in France for 30 years with experience in business, public administration and sports. As part of a varied career I most recently worked as a salaried translator for 5 years then as a freelance translator since 2016.
Since then I have translated software user manuals, social network content for Bocuse d'Or, Pastry World Cup, Capfruit, Paysalia, Rocalia. I have translated blog posts, environmental manifestos, packaging, marketing presentations, business proposals, tourism-related brochures and magazines, websites, and I have subtitled sports videos (climbing in particular)... I love the variety this work has to offer.
If you think your text deserves to be translated by a human being, I look forward to hearing from you. I am a final-semester graduate student in French translation. I am highly enthusiastic about translation, especially of medical and technical texts, and I can't wait for more translation work.
