I grew up speaking both English and Spanish as my family moved between the US, Guatemala, and Mexico. I graduated with an M. Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Oklahoma and worked in the upstream oil and gas industry for 14 years. After the downturn in 2015-2016, translation became a natural career change.
My freelance career is founded on my experience and in-depth knowledge of the need to communicate information in a precise and timely manner. I've worked with oil and gas independent operators, service companies, and reserves certification companies where accuracy in the translated material is of the utmost importance.
In addition to technical translations, I also have experience in literary translations, having translated 15 books that are currently published, with many more to come.
I am a translator into English and I write and edit texts in English, mostly specialising in arts and education. I have worked for Oxford University Press España and completed a masters in Translation at Goldsmiths University of London in 2018. I specialise in arts and literature with special knowledge and interest in food and fashion
