I am a professional woman who has a passion for education. In previous years, I have taught Spanish, developed Spanish-speaking markets, and translated a wide variety of English content for businesses. With a degree in History and years of extensive experience in early childhood education, I have expanded my passion for digital education and technology.
After I finished my bachelor degree in Modern Languages specialized in translation in Venezuela, I worked as a translator for one year and half. However, after several years working in the management and banking field, I decided to start again in my passion: working with languages. For the past two years I have been working as a freelance translator, but this time with a different perspective and knowledge provided by the master in translation I’m currently doing in the University of Lisbon.
Hello! I'm Yariela, a professional translator for more than 10 years. During that period I have gained experience in several fields. As a translator-editor for a Japanese company, I have had the opportunity to specialize in the field of optical and imaging products, from which I have translated technical materials, such as service manuals knowledge bases, and marketing materials, such as sales presentations or brochures, for the Latin American market. On the other hand, as a freelance translator, I have been able to work with scientific (pharmacy, laboratory, and in vitro equipment and supplies), technology, and telecommunications documents, among others. This knowledge is complemented by the use of CAT software and Desktop Publishing tools (Adobe Suite).
I am an EN>ES translator, editor and certified sworn translator with more than 20 years of experience in the localization business.
